Dark Zen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dark Zen is a modern Zen school founded by Ardent Hollingsworth in Atlanta Georgia, 1992.
[edit] Teachings
Dark Zen is rather controversial in that it advises students to seek the "absolute" in their meditations. Dark Zen is outspoken (and controversial) in its criticism of the modern Zen schools and debunking the entire Zen transmission theory.
[edit] Meditation Practice
Dark Zen's meditational practice is unique in that it has the student look to the priorness to the breath rather than follow the breath as Zen teaches.
