Dark Cloud 3 is the upcoming third installment of the real-time role-playing series Dark Cloud. Though the game was scheduled to appear at E3 2004 according to an SCE planning sheet, this was later found to be a misprint.[1] Thusly, though the game is rumored to be in development, Level-5 has yet to officially announce the game; and in a 2005 interview, Level-5 president Akihiro Hino made no mention of the game,[2] whilst making references to two then-unnamed games for the PSP and PS2 in development (probably Jeanne d'Arc and Rogue Galaxy, respectively).
Dark Cloud 2 was titled Dark Chronicle outside North America, so it is unknown if Dark Cloud 3 will also adopt a name change outside North America.
