Darian Alexander Shirazi (Born December 23, 1986) is an Iranian-American entrepreneur. He was born and raised in Menlo Park, CA and attended Menlo Atherton High School. Skilled in business and web development, Darian started his career in 2002 when he worked as a QA Engineer for eBay as a sophomore in high school. After graduating in 2005, he began studying at the University of California, Berkeley [1]. During his freshman year and the following summer, Darian worked as an early employee at the online social network Facebook [2]. Focusing primarily on front-end development, Darian was a part of Facebook's redesign in August 2005 and many of their products developed throughout 2005 and 2006. After Facebook, he started his own company, Fotodunk, with three college friends which was acquired in November 2006 by Garageband Records/iLike: iLike buys Fotodunk. While the acquisition price was under $5 million, Darian is credited with negotiating the purchase personally at the age of only 19.
