[edit] Removal of External Links (Medical Assistant (MA)

If you feel an external link to a commercial website that promotes a product or service is necessary in this article, please submit this to the article's discussion to allow editorial review by others prior to adding it to the External Links section. This is clearly stated in the Wikipedia standards.Calltech 18:06, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue spamming you will be blocked from editing. -THB 18:19, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia policies were not put in place by me and it is not for me to teach them to you or negotiate them with you. I suggest you read the information in the links above and stop spamming Wikipedia by inserting anything inappropriate to Wikipedia including links to websites with which you are affiliated, your name, etc. If you violate Wikipedia policies again concerning these matters, I will ask an administrator to take appropriate actions. -THB 21:29, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

I believe people will benefit from good external links, but not everybody here seems to see eye to eye on what is and what isn't. I can live with that, as long as it is fair.

Medical Assistant Net and MA Exam Help are top rated medical assistant resources available to everybody in the medical assistant community. If you go to Google and search for "medical assistant" you will find these sites come up on the first generic search page in top position (also Yahoo, and MSN Search). Nobody tried to "get over" here, nor SPAM this site.

As far as contacting Wikipedia administrators, be my guest. Wikipedia will survive, and so will I. Danni R. 21:45, 6 November 2006 (UTC) Danni R.

If I were you, I would not feel too badly about link removals by the aforementioned. If you check his contributions, that is basically all this person does. I have yet to see a single article written by him. I also agree with you that there are plenty of external links. Some of them have advertising on there, to finance themselves. Big deal. So long as the information is OK, that is really what matters. I'd say stand up to him if you have a good case. I've seen him remove links to non-profit organisations too. If you know that the information is good, I'd say stand up to this guy. I did. --Achim 01:53, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, Achim certainly "stood up" as he stated Talk:Call centre. The result was through Mediation his SPAM links were removed and his "propaganda" POV (as was noted by User:Beland) was revised and neutralized. He was also warned several times by other editors and the Mediator to refrain from personal attacks on me, but he seems intent on continuing this line of attack.
Achim, its time you get over this fixation you have with getting even. Stop posting personal attacks on my Talk page. If you wish to discuss the contents of an article, then keep the abusive comments out of it. You've admitted you did not review the links and certainly did not view the Talk page associated with Medical Assistant (MA). Otherwise, you would have seen the resolution to this issue. Instead you chose to make it a forum for another personal attack. Calltech 13:06, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Say it to my face. The fact remains that all you do is remove stuff. You contribute nothing whatsoever and you hide. There's a term for that and I can't put it here. --Achim 05:52, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comment

My name is Danni R., I am a gal, not I guy, and I have contributed to this Wikipedia, and especially to the Medical Assistant article going on two years. I am a medical assistant, and well known for my efforts to bring medical assistants together in the Internet via free learning and networking resources. I own and manage not only the biggest and best known medical assistant websites and web forums for medical assistants on the Internet, I also work and teach in this field. So, consider me an expert among experts. My contributions, up until last week were done as a guest and so are all logged under my verizon.net dynamic IP number. I felt very very insulted but must say, that I am sure, there were no bad intentions on Wikipedia's behalf. I can all too well relate on unwanted links and SPAM.

So, giving Wikipedia members the benefit of doubt, I ask for the same back. I am indeed an active Wikipedia supporter, have made contributions of knowledge and money to the cause, and had only the best intentions when adding the two resources Medical Assistant Net and MA Exam Help.com. Here are some of my other contributions, however, no need to go back two years! Please note that I ALWAYS annotated my contributions and edits in the true spirit of Wikipedia. I have nothing to hide, and always made my intentions clear.

Due to my ongoing efforts on my own time (and thousands of dollars each year out of pocket expenses!!) xxx-thousands of new and experienced medical assistants across the country know who I am. They know not only my sites, but know me by name (Danni R.). And so... last but not least here are my latest contributions to Wikipedia (to defute the statement that the only thing I ever did was to add my own links).

  • 23:14, 5 November 2006 Danni R. (Talk | contribs) (linked "bookkeeping" and "generalists")
  • 23:11, 5 November 2006 Danni R. (Talk | contribs) (Added: Last but not least they serve... to "Career Opportunities", then moved the paragraph describing administrative and clinical duties up under "Scope of Practice" where it is a better fit.)
  • 21:15, 5 November 2006 Danni R. (Talk | contribs) (small typo corrected)
  • 20:54, 5 November 2006 Danni R. (Talk | contribs) (→Clinical Courses)
  • 20:11, 5 November 2006 141.154.163.40 (Talk) (→Education - paragraph added about diploma mills and linked to wikipedia "diploma mills" for reference.)
  • 23:23, 30 October 2006 70.109.226.91 (Talk) (→External links)
  • 02:30, 19 October 2006 141.154.160.24 (Talk) (→Career Opportunities - references added.)
  • 04:09, 13 October 2006 70.17.152.159 (Talk) (→Scope of Practice)
  • 17:01, 28 September 2006 151.203.163.205 (Talk) (added "unlicensed")
  • 16:28, 19 September 2006 151.188.16.36 (Talk) (→Administrative Courses)

And no. I can's say that I feel, or felt bad, but I don't like it when people assume. That was my only gripe. But that's behind me now, except, I wanted to clear up that I am not just some "lurker guy" that deserves a firm stand. By far!!!! That's all I wanted to add.

Thanks CallTech (and every Wikipedian) for the Respect. Please let me know if you got this message as I am not sure whether this should have gone on your Talk page. Still a bit confused on how to utilize everything other than contributions.

You are welcome, Danni (just got around to reading your note here and on my Talk page). Good luck on Wikipedia and with your continued contributions! Calltech 02:31, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Peace. And out.

It is against Wikipedia policy for you to post links to any sites with which you are affiliated. Please stop. -THB 17:46, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I got it; but I don't know what you mean. How about you stop bashing me. Thanks. Danni R. 17:51, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

The term is bullying. --Achim 05:54, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks Achim. I appreciate the correction. I see I am in good hands at Wikipedia. You made me laugh. I am from Germany. Still learning. --Danni R. 14:20, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Oh, I just wanted to add that this was an excellent learning experience for me. Sometimes, going through the "pains" is the best way. I have always enjoyed and contributed to Wikipedia and intend to continue to do so... My pleasure. Peace. And out. --Danni R. 14:38, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
