Welcome
Hi there, Daniel5127. Please take time to learn and follow Wikipedia policies and guidelines.
- Please learn to use the Preview button before saving your work. If you're just trying how to edit stuff, please use the sandbox instead.
- Please provide a description of the edits you've made in the Edit Summary box. These descriptions are saved in the article's edit History, and make it easier for all to know what's been changed with each edit and why.
- Please, please, please only add verifiable facts to the articles. For instance, in the Harry Potter articles, do not post things that you cannot back up with actual statements in the books or by the author. Highly speculative material is considered "original research", which is strictly prohibited on Wikipedia. If you're not sure what's verifiable and what's not, ask or propose your suggested revision on the article's Talk/Discussion page.
- Please take a hint if you see that your work is constantly being reverted. Chances are you have violated a Wikipedia policy. Stop and review the History and Talk/Discussion pages of an article and you will probably see the reason. Again, you can also post an explanation or question on the Talk page for any revisions you may want to make.
Thanks. --Mercurio 16:51, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi Right Back Atchya! (Padma Patil)
Well, on Wikipedia and on Harry Potter sites in general, the books are considered more canon than the films. We have a page that lists the differences between the book and the movie (Go to Differences between book and film versions of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), but the fact that the movie changes Padma and Parvarti to both be in Gryffindor instead of one in Ravenclaw and one in Gryffindor is deemed a movie mistake... But on another note- Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia. Feel free to drop me another note any time- I'm honored that you asked me. I hope to see you around the Harry Potter pages here at Wikipedia! Emily (Funtrivia Freak) 01:30, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for the information that is about mistakes in Goblet of Fire Movie.

Banned star?
Hi Daniel5127, thanks for your questions, I'll try to answer as best I can. First of all, this actually isn't Harry Potter Wikipedia, it's Just Plain Wikipedia, and I am involved with the Harry Potter WikiProject on Wikipedia. :-) If you're looking for a Harry Potter Wiki, there is a specific Wiki with only Harry Potter content here. Next, there actually is no such thing as a "Banned Star" that I know of, but it sounds like you want to get a barnstar for fighting vandalism? If so, you don't actually go about campaigning to get one, you simply get noticed by other people for fighting vandalism. And it takes a fair bit of work: I helped design the RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar, and I've gotten rid of vandalism on a semi-regular basis, and I still don't have an anti-vandalism barnstar. I don't go seeking a barnstar, but my advice for you is to simply make some good edits to contribute to the good of Wikipedia. If, instead, you actually have some sort of dispute or argument with a specific user, what's the name of the user, and what's the article you guys are arguing about? Maybe I can help. Just let me know, and I'll help where I can. Cheers, Deathphoenix ʕ 02:34, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. Well, it looks like your problem is dispute resolution. In that case, just tell me who is changing things the way he or she wants and I'll look into it. In general, vandalism is a constant problem on Wikipedia. We just deal with it the best we can, by warning them and, for admins, by blocking them. Take a look at Wikipedia:Vandalism to see what you can do to fight vandalism. As for getting barnstars, just keep doing good work and you'll be recognised eventually. :-) --Deathphoenix ʕ 23:03, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
-
- Hi Daniel, nice to see you here! I'm not that experienced with barnstars either, but I think Deathphoenix (above) knows something about them. What you can do is copy the source from another barnstar you see elsewhere (for example on User:Evilphoenix's page), and change the caption to match your own. Otherwise, I'd Google Wikipedia searching for "barnstars". :-) See you around! --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 02:59, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Actually, there is discussion right now concerning the background colours. I favour using just one colour as proposed by SmokeyJoe, but right now, because of the current discussion going on, I'd suggest just leaving the colours as is for now. If we come up with a standardised colour scheme, it should be a lot easier to revert any future colour changes. --Deathphoenix ʕ 03:25, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, feeling a little stressed, taking out anger on vandals. The Republican 02:13, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Umm....User:71.138.167.72, the anon who blanked User:Daniel5127's page....is User:Daniel5127. I have a note from the anon on my User page claiming to be you[1], and looking back at both contribution histories[2] [3], I can see both accounts trading back and forth tonight. Yet the anon is going around, blanking user's pages, and then immediately reverting. What is the deal here? Why are you continuing to carry on about a Banned Star? You seem to mean Barnstar. There's no such thing as a Banned Star. Your language and wording is absolutely atrocious, we have Administrators on Wikipedia who are perfectly lucid, and are younger than you claim to be. I'm not convinced that your loose cannon style of editing is not more of a hindrance to Wikipedia than any kind of helpful contribution. What do you have to say for yourself? Ëvilphoenix Burn! 03:37, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
After looking at Evilphoenix's evidence, I have to say, this is not the way to get recognition. Logging out, vandalising pages, then logging back in to fix the vandalism??? All this just to get some barnstar for fixing vandalism? Daniel5127, Wikipedia is not MySpace or LiveJournal. It's not some place for you to come in and play around. This is a serious encyclopedia. If you continue with this activity, you will be blocked, and maybe even banned permanently for your actions. Think carefully about why you are here. If it's to play and get pretty little stars on your user page, I suggest you look elsewhere. --Deathphoenix ʕ 03:55, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
I have blocked you for 24 hours, because I believe that you are User:71.138.167.72, and I believe you are disrupting Wikipedia. I am going to now work to resolve whether this is so. If you have anything to say in your defense, please do so here. Best regards, Ëvilphoenix Burn! 04:01, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Behavior
Hello! As noted above, you appear to be logging in and out to vandalize then repair. I'd like to chat with you a little bit about this to find out why you're doing this. If you're innocent, tell us here and we'll run a checkuser to verify it. If you are in fact innocent, please accept our apologies, but if you claim that it wasn't you and it turns out that it was, expect the block to be extended severely.
That said, my purpose here is not to berate, it's to counsel. I'd like to find out why you did it in the hopes of finding a different area of Wikipedia you can contribute to, as vandal fighting may not be your best choice. There are also stubs to be sorted, articles to be improved, and more. Let me know how I can help! Respond on my user talk page please. Best regards, CHAIRBOY (☎) 04:20, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Are you another administrator? I'm so sorry about this problem that my little brother played it. I have my own Wikipedia ID, but My brother doesn't have the Wikipedia ID. The Problem is blocking from other Wikipedian Administrator. So, I was very upset about him that He vandalised other owner's page in same computer. That means I blamed him. So, I apologize of Vandalize from same computer.

- Howdy! Well, the block is not punishment, it's to protect the Wikipedia. If you cannot control your younger brother, then expect the blocks to continue longer and longer. Clean thy house, user, and enjoy your wiki editing privs tomorrow when the block expires. We'll be watching and expecting good things from you. BTW, I are an admin. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 04:44, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'll go with Chairboy on this. You may edit again tomorrow once the block expires, however we will be observing you closely. I suggest you spend some time reviewing the Tutorial, and also be very careful of your grammar and spelling. Take a note from this encounter, and if you demonstrate good behavior from here out, you'll be fine. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 04:56, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Ahh, I also realized that Wikipedia is very strict on Editing, and vandalism. for Example, If He/She continues to vandalize the article, He/She will be blocked out of Wikipedia that means He/She won't be able to use Wikipedia Anymore? Daniel5127, 00:08, 20 April 2006(UTC)
- That is correct. Whenever you vandalize, you create work for other people who would rather be doing something other than cleaning up somebody elses mess. Consideration for others. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 04:31, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Just make sure your brother does'nt do it again. That's all we ask. The Republican 22:36, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Response to your message
Hi Daniel. I am a Harry Potter fan too, though I do not edit much on those topics on Wikipedia. I'm not sure which edit got reverted, but just be very careful when you are editing that the information you put in is something that should be in the encyclopedia and that ti is verifiable. If you disagree with someone reverting your information you can put it back, but try to talk to the editor who reverted it, and don't put it back again if they revert it again. Hope that helps. Academic Challenger 05:58, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the response of my question,Academic Challenger.^^ Daniel5127 06:12, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well a lot of it has to do with the fact that you have only been speaking English for two years, and as a result, your grammar is still quite poor. Often times you're using the wrong word, for example in the above comment you say "edition" where you really mean "addition". So, the one problem you have is that whatever you're adding to the article is poorly written. The other issue is that I don't think you really have a strong grasp of the way we tend to approach writing articles on here...you don't really seem to understand how to edit Wikipedia. I've seen a lot of edits from you, for example, that are what we call "speculation"...basically you are adding something to an article because you think that it's true, without providing any kind of evidence to back it up. Or, in other cases, you are simply going against established policies and conventions, such as when you recently tried to change the colors on Harry Potter related infoboxes, and when it was pointed out to you that there was a page describing what color the infoboxes were supposed to be, you turned around and changed that page too, which again, wasn't quite the right approach. I'm sorry to say that the reality basically is that as long as your edits are poor, your edits will probably get reversed. I'm just curious, but do you know that there is a Chinese Wikipedia? I imagine that you could contribute very well to that language version, because then you would have less of an issue with a language barrier. Also, the Chinese Wiki is much smaller, and therefore I think you might be able to make a more significant contribution there. I'm just trying to encourage you to think about other areas of Wikipedia that you are able to contribute to. Personally I wish I could contribute to the French Wikipedia, but my French is so limited I can barely read the writing there enough to get a partial sense of what it's saying, let alone having enough command of the language to attempt to communicate and edit there. Vandalism on Ron Weasley
Daniel,
Thanks for your message. You did a good job warning the vandal (just remember to sign your warnings with four tildes (~~~~)). As jpgordon said above, if you find vandals and they have been given their "last warning" and continue to vandalize, you can report them at WP:AIV and they will be blocked. Thanks again, and let me know if you have any more questions. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 04:38, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

I will put this article on my watchlist so I will notice any unusual activity. If it is being vandalized, I will put a protect on it if I think it needs it. --DanielCD 00:45, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you mean by "find empty article immediately". What do you mean when you say "empty article"? --DanielCD 01:58, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

- You can put in on your watchlist and see any changes that are made to it. You can revert it by going into the history, calling up the previous version, clicking the edit function and saving that. It will restore it to the previous version. Some ppl have a rollback function, which is what I use, but you have to request that. --DanielCD 02:10, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Response
Hey Daniel, of course I remember you. Good to hear from you. I copied some of the text about Hardy, Thompson, Gambon, and others from the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (film) page, but the text "seem enthusiastic to return" simply mean that they have expressed an enjoyment in the role in some interview or another.
The thing about Jennifer Smith is that she had a brief cameo in PS film, with no lines. I didn't even know she had been cast, and I would guess the only reason she was cast was because the director Chris Columbus wanted to be faithful to the book so much that he cast all of Harry's roommates. Since Lavender's part gets slightly bigger in OoP, and gets significantly bigger in HBP, it is likely that Smith will not return because when she signed on for the first film, she had no idea of the bigger part she would receive. In addition, it is not very likely that she signed a contract for more than one film because of the nature of her production -- not very big.
Lastly, articles on the differences between the first three books and films have not yet been made, but you or anybody else is of course welcome to do so. Make sure that you follow the style of the other pages in the same vein. See you around. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 15:05, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Finding new users to welcome
Hi - I noticed your question at User_talk:Raul654 about finding new users to welcome. One way is to look at the Special:Recentchanges page looking for contributions from logged in users who don't have a talk page (their talk page shows up as a red link). These users almost certainly haven't been welcomed yet. If you're thinking about doing this, please see Wikipedia:Welcoming committee. -- Rick Block (talk) 02:08, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Warnings
Re: User:69.138.229.246. It is highly inappropriate to give someone with no recent vandalism, let alone no history of vandalism a 4th level warning for vandalism. Even blatant vandals deserve better than this. User 69.138.229.246 has a history of useful contributions, and if you have a question about her contribution to a particular article, you should address it politely on a talk page long before you assign warning templates. Your revert on Gemstone
Please be careful: with this edit to Gemstone you seem to be trying to pretend to be using the admin rollback function. Your edit however, simply deleted a valid link added by the anon and changed the spelling of the Jewellry link. The edit summary was deceptive and changing the spelling is simply inviting an edit war. Again, please be careful with your edits, don't try to impersonate an administrator, and do provide accurate edit summaries. I have reverted your edit there. Also please reply here rather than on my talk - I now have your talk page on my watchlist. Vsmith 02:14, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

People make mistakes, just use the talk page to discuss them – and please try an approach that is less likely to be perceived as insulting. Rklawton 02:50, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Luna Lovegood Edit
Hello, Daniel. You recently left me this message:
"Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Do not put anything on the article as you did on Luna Lovegood. Please Stop. Thank you. , Daniel5127, 23:32, 5 May 2006(UTC)"
It was not nonsense, it was a example of large eyes indicating profound insight or spirituality. I thought of it because I had recently seen the film in Film History class at my university. I would like an explanation of why it is "nonsense", as I have never been one to add nonsensical things to a Wikipedia. I am not being disingenous, I am honestly puzzled. -- 20:36, 5 May 2006 (EST)
May I please have an explanation, Daniel? -- 10:55, 7 May 2006 (EST)
I asked you a bloody question! Do NOT revert other people's edits unless you are prepared to give your reasons for it! I merely noted that Joan of Arc int The Passion of Joan of Arc was another character, like Luna Lovegood, whose insight/spirituality was evident in her large eyes. I didn't say something absolutely ridiculous like "Luna is based on Joan"! It's an extremely minor and normally insignificant thing, but I am worried about the lack of observational skills that I see. -- 9:07, 11 May 2006 (EST)

Harry Potter WikiProject
Hi, Daniel5127, and thanks for the message. I'm afraid that I'm not involved in the Harry Potter Wiki simply because i don't have time to do so. I contribute to Harry Potter articles here when I can, but I devote my Wikipedia time to many different subject areas.
As for your assessment of the statement on Cho Chang, I would say that text should have been removed if it was not sourced; I have heard nothing about Cho not appearing in Book 7. However, Wikipedia can contain information about future events if that information is speculation or statement of fact coming from a reputable outside source. That is, if J. K. Rowling does an interview and says that Cho will not be in Book 7, it's fine for Cho's article on Wikipedia to say that she will not be in Book 7 even though Book 7 has not been released. In order to be certain that such an interview took place, however, the information must be given a source. I hope that clears things up. If not, feel free to ask for clarification on my talk page.
Thanks for birthday wishes as well. I'll wish you an early happy birthday now just in case I forget later. Bye! —Cuiviénen (talk•contribs), Sunday, 7 May 2006 @ 01:27 UTC

A quite important program is the StressUnit, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Possibles.
I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general, Celestianpower, and guided by the Advisory Committee comprised of JoanneB, FireFox and Titoxd. The next set of elections will be in April, we will keep you updated about the results. Because you are a new member, you are not able to vote in these elections, but you will be more than welcome to take part in the elections in June.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Celestianpower by email or talk page or the Esperanza talk page. Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC Tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Happy birthday again, as I said above. In response to your comment on my talk page, I think (not certain, but fairly sure) that JK Rowling has said that, alas Book 7 will not be released this year but during July of 2007. It hurts to wait, but it will hurt more to read the last page, I think.
You guessed correctly, I am a Senior. I graduate in late June because my school ends horribly late, so I'm still working hard. (Multi-variable calculus, grrr...) Good luck to you in the rest of high school. I personally will miss it a lot.
Anyway, that's all I have to say. Keep in touch. —CuiviénenT|C, Sunday, 14 May 2006 @ 03:13 UTC
UN question
Daniel - the United Nations article already has a "history" section. ("The UN came into existence on October 24, 1945, after the Charter had been ratified by the five permanent members of the Security Council — Republic of China, France, the Soviet Union, United Kingdom, and the United States — and by a majority of the other 46 signatories.") That history section is a summarized version of our History of the United Nations article. Raul654 03:51, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, the UN article already mentions the establishment of the UN Raul654 03:57, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Excuse Me.
I have question about something. What is RFA? because I have heard the world RFA many times in other person's discussion page. Could you explain to me RFA in my talk-page? Thanks. Because You have an experience of Wikipedia. Ahh, How to put my picture in my own page? Do you know how? So, you must send me message, and then explain to me about RFA, and the way of putting picture in owner's page. Ok? Daniel5127, 02:08, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Daniel5127. Most of the time when RFA is used it refers to Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship. Occasionally it refers to Requests_for_arbitration. You can read up on either of these at those links. Hope you're having a good time at Wikipedia! Monkeyman(talk) 13:19, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Another Question.
Hi, Monkeymen. Thanks you for send me message about RFA. I realized that RFA is abbreviation for Request For Administrator. It's just like voting people for becoming Wikipedia's administrator. Much Appreciated. Ahh, I want to know about Jimbo Whale. I know that Jimbo Whale is founder of Wikipedia, famous Wikipedian. I mean I'm so curious about that. So, Could you explain about Jimbo Whale? Please. Daniel5127, 06:17, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Daniel5127. You can find everything you'd want to know about Jimbo Wales at his Wikipedia article. Also, Wikipedia has a search box on the left of every page. You can type search terms into the box to find any article. Enjoy! Monkeyman(talk) 11:46, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Today is my birthday.
Hi, deathphoenix. How are you doing? I'm so sorry that I haven't sent you message because I have been busy with my school work. Are you still working in Harry Potter articles? Right now, I work with Harry Potter article a little bit, not much. Today is my seventeenth birthday. Daniel5127, 02:27, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Happy belated birthday. I'm still working on Harry Potter articles, but I only do so sporadically. I'm still on semi-Wikibreak, which means I'm not as active as I used to be. --Deathphoenix ʕ 13:23, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Creating articles
There is plenty of info in the welcome message at the top of this talk page. But for a start, simply type in the name of an article that you want to create in the search box on the left hand side. If no article exists under that name, feel free to create it by following the on-screen guide. I hope that helps. Good luck. --Jay(Reply) 01:42, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

About "vandalising" other users' pages
If you noticed, i reverted my edits IMMEDIATELY. If I hadn't reverted them, your warning would have been more called for.

- Please, write your ID, and time so that I could discuss with you on that. Daniel5127, 01:26, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism of my user page
Thanks. I actually saw that edit shortly after it was reverted, and I blocked that IP. However, its block will expire in a few hours and it will probably vandalize again. Academic Challenger 04:16, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- Thanks for message. But I have hesitated about putting semi-protected on your talk-page. I think your prediction will be right. First, 1028 vandalized your page. Right now, unknown IP vandalized your pages. So, I puted your page on my watchlist for protecting from vandalism. Daniel5127, 04:42, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Actually, my user page has been vandalized dozens of times, and several times a week in the last few months since I started reverting vandalism a lot more. Most of these vandals are a lot worse than 1028. Just so you know, you can't semi-protect a user page, which is what I think you meant, until you become an admin. I definitely wouldn't want to semi-protect my talk page because I want everyone to communicate with me, and I probably won't protect my user page either unless it gets vandalized several times a day. Academic Challenger 04:57, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- Yehh, I know that Non-Admin can not use semi-protect mark. I heard this by other admins in Wikipedia. However, I am still hesitating about becoming Admin or not. OK. I thought that you were so stressful about vandalism on your own page, I understand that you want to comminicate with some wikipedian. Anyways, Thanks a lot, much appreciated. My RFA
Thank you, Daniel5127, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 23:23, 20 May 2006 (UTC) |
VandalProof 1.2 Now Available
After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:15, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Clear
You don't seem to clearly understand something-When using the templates for vandalisim, you use all of them once. After he is blocked, you can use them again. You are using Test4 to many times. And why haven't you answered my questions? ForestH2
-
- No, I didn't use Test4 to send someone who vandalized the article. I usually use test 2 to give them warning. Sorry, I haven't been able to reply your comment. I have had many things to do for this week. I apologize for that. Daniel5127, 03:39, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- It's O.K. I saw you doing Test4 on the IP adresses anways-And someone had already used them. If it's that case and someone's used Test4 report it to an admin. Thanks for reverting the vandalisim on Evilphoenix's talk page. Don't know where he is. Stopped editing! ForestH2
Chinese classic texts
The changes have been discussed (though admittedly somewhat one-sidedly most of the time) at the article's and Eiorgiomugini's Talk pages. Yes, I do understand the usage of BC and AD, and of BCE and CE (the latter being much more common in serious and acadmic texts), and have also commented on this at the article's Talk page. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 07:59, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
the report
thanks for your message. Unfortunately, the IP you mentioned can't be blcoked for long periods, because it's AOL, and many wikipedians use those ips (and they move around, so the one vandalizing you from that ip maynot be on it tomorrow). However I'll cleanup any messes he makes. -- Drini 16:43, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Reply to your question
Sure! Go to the top of the page where it says "my preferences" and click on it. Underneath the box where you can put your email address is the "nickname" box. In this box, type in your name, and then add HTML tags around it for color, just as you would an HTML page, like this:
<font color="color">
where "color" can be a name of a color like "green" or a hex value (like "#FFFFFF"--I think, I'm not THAT good with HTML). So if you wanted to sign your name in all green, you can say:
<font color="green">[[User:Daniel5127|Daniel5127]]</font>
This makes: Daniel5127 appear. Then you also need to check the box that says "raw signature". If you need help designing a specific signature I might be able to help! Hope my babbling isn't too confusing ;). --M1ss1ontomars2k4 (T | C | @) 04:32, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks you for demonstration about My Preferences. Much appreciated. Daniel5127 , 04:37, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

- Not a problem! But perhaps "black" isn't the best color choice for your name, as it's hard to see against a flurry of comments. Just a thought. Have fun experimenting with your signature! Mathematics
User talk:Paul August is the page where you should pose that question. — May. 30, '06 [06:07] <freak|talk>
- I mean mineone would be better than that. Like for example : Understand and describing change fixed into Understand and Describing Change. Because He thought that it is not concept. But, I think Understand and Describing must be key concept. Basically, It is one concept. So, Let's me discuss with him on about article that he reverted. Daniel5127, 06:19, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- I have no idea. I'm not familiar with those facets of the article. In fact, I have never edited the Mathematics article, so I am confused that you are asking me for advice on this. — May. 30, '06 [06:28] <freak|talk>

Re: "Your revert on Mathematics".
Hi Daniel. Yes I reverted your edit to mathematics. I didn't necessarily consider your edit to be vandalism, but I did consider the capitalization of "Describing Change" as inappropriate. It would have been better if I had written an edit summary explaining this, I don't actually recall my revert, but I'm afraid I was probably just being lazy. I'm sorry and I apologize if you felt you were wrongly being accused of vandalism. Paul August ☎ 05:08, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Hello Daniel. Thank you for your strong support and lovely comments at my request for adminship which ended at the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0), and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation. In the meantime, enjoy the Californian summer! Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 05:27, 31 May 2006 (UTC) |
Capital letters
Hi Daniel,
Paul's reversion at mathematics was correct. Sure, "understanding and describing change" is important, but that doesn't mean you just throw in capital letters. Conceivably that's a stylistic choice that could have been made in a different encyclopedia, but it's not the one used here. You're still relatively new here; you should settle in and get used to the "house style", and in the mean time try to relax when people make stylistic corrections. --Trovatore 05:53, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
