Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. It's always great to see Melburnians here - there's quite a few of us around, but if you're interested, there's always work that needs doing. You might like to start by reading the tutorial or checking out WikiProject Melbourne, where a few of us have got together to try and expand Wikipedia's coverage of Melbourne.
If you have any questions, you can ask at the help desk or on my talk page. Two useful tips are that you can sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) and you can preview your changes before you save using the show preview button. You can regularly find new tips on the Community Portal. I look forward to reading your great articles and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. :) Ambi 15:58, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
hey thanks :-)
I've added my name to the participants list on the 'WikiProject Melbourne' and I hope to get spare time to edit some of the articles

[edit] Web hosting
Thanks for the recommendations. I tried Zeeblo but they seem to have recently stopped hosting new sites. I'm now giving Frihost a go; I still need to build up the necessary credit to apply to be hosted.
By the way my brother lives in Melbourne. By all accounts it's a beautiful and vibrant city. But I'm sure I don't have to tell you that.
Thanks again.

[edit] Meetup in March
I see that you are listed as a participant in the WikiProject Melbourne. If you are a Melbourne resident I would appreciate your views on the suggested Meetup in March . Please give some indication of your interest, or otherwise, in the idea. Even a simple "No thanks" with your user name would be welcome and assist in assessing the level of support for a meetup. Thank you.. Cuddy Wifter 06:30, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:X-ROM_512Mb.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:X-ROM_512Mb.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 19:30, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
