Time to judge the finalists!Hello, Daniel.Bryant. This is a quick message to remind you that all 5 finalists for the Esperanza User Page Award have been chosen. You now need to judge those 5 pages, awarding each one 1-10 points for attractiveness, usefulness, interesting-ness, general niceness and quality of subpages. Refer to the Scores section at the project page if you are unsure of how to score. Once you have scored the 5 pages, email Celestianpower using the specified format. As soon as all the scores have been tallied, a winner will be announced. Thanks. Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 08:54, 4 November 2006 (UTC) ThanksThanks for such quick response with the indefblock. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Mariners Logo.gif)Thanks for uploading Image:Mariners Logo.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 14:23, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

small favorI was wondering of you could help me out with getting votes for expanding an article I started a while back. My old US Australia relations article is currently being considered for expansion by the Wikipedia:Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight. To vote, go here and scroll to the bottom. Thanks! Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 05:26, 6 November 2006 (UTC) Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBotSuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun! SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping. If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker. P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 01:30, 6 November 2006 (UTC) Speedy deletion?Hello Daniel, I do not think that the article on APANA was intended to be advertising. I did not write the article, although I think that I have met the person who did. However, it appeared to be accurate at the time that I disambiguated it (somebody replaced another article on a different "apana", which is not really the right way to do things). If you think that the article is not sufficiently objective, I am happy to discuss ways to improve it. Or you could simply edit it and tone it down yourself if you want - enough people will probably check back on it to keep it accurate. Here in Australia, APANA is part of the history of the internet. It was founded on similar principles to what (I think) Wikipaedia stands for, such as empowering ordinary people by making network resources available to them. Before APANA existed, there was quite literally no way for an average australian to experiment with an Internet Protocol network. A project like Wikipaedia would have been impossible anywhere except in a university (via AARNET), and access to it would have been strictly limited. APANA made the internet available to the masses, and stimulated the appearance of commercial ISPs. All on a volunteer, not-for-profit basis. APANA still exists, but its membership is shrinking as internet connectivity becomes commoditised. I think that this is history worth preserving. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pairadice (talk • contribs).

(Untitled)hi daniel. it seems that people in cyberspace are still trying to regularly crash the pop art wiki site and erase the truth. most of it i surmise is comming from hamilton's supporters who do not want the truth to come out in public. i will keep trying to input the facts since i am intimately privy to most of them. i have also checked it with my step mother magda cordell mchale who was a collaborater with mchale at the tit. if the crashing and errasing persists then i will have to sign off and wiki will then get the usual low grade cant. the hamilton lot are very dishonest and already crashed the Just What mirror site that i took some time to hyper-link and explain how my father's integrated collage works conceptually.my e-mail is down at the moment so it is difficult to conatact me.wiki is a great public service and i thank your staff for its operation and existence.Jmch.s+m+==r*
Kindly note down and help me.Dear Daniel, Thanks for your reply at my talk page, regarding the CheckUser for User:Marwatt. I would like to withdraw my complaint, as I think due to personal enmity wqe cannot help wikipedia. I wish, if we could help Wikipedia more and more, as this is a Edcucation: Free and For All. Anyhow, I also would like to know that how can one make an appeal for reconsideration of a delete? Actually, I would like to know the specefic tag that is used for Deletion Review. Thanks and best of luckHey Daniel, here's the template-less, plain looking thank you note from me for your flattering comments!! All the best for Arb com and there is a pending question from me a few sections above. Hope you did not overlook that.. -- Lost(talk) 18:01, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Cats and Dogs PortalsHi, Daniel.Bryant. If you can offer some tips on the respective portal talk pages about how to improve Cats and Dogs up to "featured" quality, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Rfrisbietalk 18:10, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

(Refactored aggressive header)Hi, user Tajik is systematically searching and changing Turkish related articles with wrong and unsourced informations. WikiArticles are not improving because of his/her wrongly editings. He/She is searching 'turk' or "turkic" words in an article and deleting or deforming sentence or changing with 'persian' word in a baseless way. And he generally makes this secretly. He/She is making these changes with 'minor edits'. Actually, these are the ones that i could see. Please look at Contr. ;http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&limit=500&target=Tajik
Help!Hey Daniel, You may have seen me on Dfrg.msc's page. I'm a good friend of his and go to his school. I "borrowed" his Nav Bar and he got quite upset. So I had heard a lot about you from him so I decided to ask you whether you could help me make a better siganture and a nav bar for my page. Thanks Mate. Jamo 07:28, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
HeyHey Daniel. Long time no speak. I've been pretty much inactive from around here recently what with Uni and business commitments (thanks to WP I got published in a National mag!! woot). Anyway I just dropped in to do some research and noticed you were running for Arbcom. So I thought I drop by to say good luck and that I hope you get voted in! I'll try and remember to come back and vote for you at the appropriate time! Soon I might even get back to editing - doubt it though... too much stress! :D --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 02:36, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
CCMFC pageCheers for fixing up that reference with the CCMFC article. I was restructuring the whole sentence (it was very POV, how it was), but it's good to see interest in the article. I nominated it for Football Collaboration of the Week a little while ago, and it looks like it will make it - I reckon that it could be the first FA for the Wikiproject. Anyways, thanks, and keep up the good work, Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 05:46, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Declining unblocksHi Daniel! Yeah, good point ("normal users in good standing") that I was groping for - and missed by about " " much.. but I think the point still stands - if you are doing any job that doesn't require admin tools, then it isn't an admin job. If an unblock was declined in bad faith, then that would be bad, if not downright disruptive... but that applies to admins as much (if not more) as it does to "ordinary" users. Our next generation of admins should be doing these types of jobs, IMHO. Although I could easily be wrong. I often am :o) ➨ ЯEDVERS 21:18, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
