[edit] Wii references
Nice job fixing up the Wii references!! jaco♫plane 00:01, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wii Remote
Sorry for messing up the meters -> feet part (I thought it seemed a bit short...), but I decided to scrap everything there, as most of it was lifted from the references. Ladlergo 03:27, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- No worries. You probably had lumped my stuff in with the stuff that was added about the batteries, which was ripped straight off the web page. It's an understandable mistake; I tend to be fairly deliberate in my wording, so I can see how it would be mistaken for plagiarism.
- Actually, after you "corrected" me, I measured, just to make sure. I had assumed that because it needed a sensor bar, that the range of the Remotes would be fairly short. But it's actually better than I anticipated. The Wavebird's rated range was 6 meters, and I found that to be more than enough. Dancter 03:40, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Apologies Accepted
Sorry about my confusion...apologies accepted. rcandelori 14:05, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Three-revert rule
The playstation 3 page is being constantly vandalised so I am exluded under the rule according to the article. rcandelori 15:26, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well, at least as concerns 72.153.114.85, some of that editor's more recent edits seem to indicate that their intent was not to vandalize. Anyway, it seems the issue has cooled since someone warned them on their talk page. It's all good. Anyway, happy editing! Dancter 15:43, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My workspace page
Thanks for catching that - I forgot the "User:" part when I created the page. I've filed a note here to get the main space redirect deleted. --Ckatz 05:25, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. I thought it was probably best not to delete it right away, just in case you expected to find it there. Dancter 05:30, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WiiConnect24
Sorry about my citation fussiness on WiiConnect24; I did not notice the words "There has been skepticism". Thanks for changing the last statement back to "citation needed", it isn't really "original research". -- Daverocks (talk) 07:32, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Muslim Cloth
Nice job on correcting the errers [sic] of spelling-challenged campus cops! I was waiting to see if anybody caught the muslim/muslin thing, but I didn't imagine that anyone would do such an elegant fix. My hat is off to your technical editing ability. Lou Sander 22:49, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Upper case - wording
You're right - looking back, I was wrong to switch Ethernet->ethernet and so on. Lesson learned. Thanks for correcting the article. --Oscarthecat 20:48, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reverting
Perhaps you misunderstand me. I did NOT revert the article in ANY way. I merely went into the previous ones code, searched for the sections of the sensor bar, went into the CURRENT articles section, and put it back where it was in the first place. I did NOT revert the article in any way, I did NOT use the automatic method and I did NOT use the method you mentions (of copying the ENTIRE code and replacing the two). This is getting increasingly frustrating with people like you accusing me of doing something that the history clearly shows I did not do. Get your facts stright before making accusations.--ItIsMe 09:47, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps you fail to understand what I did. I simply PASTED the article back in. NOTHING more. So it is impossible for me to have messed it up as I didn't change a single thing other then adding the article BACK in. And if you'd bothered to check this 'Novermber' thing was in the previous edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wii&diff=prev&oldid=61793061) that someone ELSE had done. Again I must ask you to get your facts straight before accusing others of such things. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ItIsMe (talk • contribs) 10:55, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- The Novermber thing is in the previous edit, but to the point, I believe what happened was an error on wikipedia's end. I think what occured is I went into the edit page sections. While I was editting it someone else went on and changed some things. Then when I'd put the article back in I saved the changes, which would have saved what was BEFORE I editted it and AFTER I editted it. Unfortunetely it seems that whatever edits were done while I was putting the topic back in were deleted. It seems that this has caused much confusion that you think I changed things but all I did was add the topic back in. Anything else would be a problem with the system wikipedia works by. --ItIsMe 11:39, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Shawn Spencer Infobox
Thanks for changing that to the template...I couldn't find a template, so I cribbed a fake infobox from the veronica mars characters. This is much better.Transcendentalstate 12:50, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] HappyVR and PS3
Just thought you would like to know that HappyVR is under a week block right now. This most likely is the reason he hasn't put any responses down in support of the PS3 tally. I've put a comment on the page suggesting a delay on vote judgement until his block is lifted. Ex-Nintendo Employee 21:03, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks for the infobox fix, again
I was in the middle of editing that infobox when I suddenly got called away. 5 minutes later, I came back to fix it, and bang, you had been there, like a knight in shining armor. How did you know I had worked on it?Transcendentalstate 19:53, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] LiveJournal
I have no problems with anyone correcting my work but please let me know if you do so, so that I can improve the quality of my contributions. I have no idea if I make a mistake if someone doesn't take the time to tell me.
I don't think I'm asking for a lot. Thanks. — Nathan (talk) / 18:27, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Game Boy Sales
Hi, Dancter. Thank you so much for adding the Game Boy sales data links- I've been trying to find a good source for that information for the longest time. You've saved me a big headache! :D Ex-Nintendo Employee 06:35, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Super Mario Strikers
I will consider leaving it the way you have it now, but the original name was Super Mario Strikers and was just re-named for Europe. The way it currently is written makes it sound like the name was originally "Mario Smash Football" and re-named for North American and Japan. TJ Spyke 21:24, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps there's a way to word it better to emphasize that "Super Mario Strikers" is the original naming, but "Mario Smash Football" was how they presented it in Leipzig, so we can't say they announced it otherwise. If you have any ideas, feel free to give it a shot. Dancter 21:28, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Battalion Wars 2
Thanks for helping with the image, I never had that problem putting images in wrestling infoboxes. TJ Spyke 22:38, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Thanks for uploading the logo. I don't remember if having the manual image markup is necessary with most other infoboxes, but it seems it is for the CVG one. Dancter 22:43, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Marrio Kart Wii
On the Mario Kart Wii Article you put a AfD tag that links to the Paper Mario Wii AfD. When I went to the real Mario Kart AfD I found and archive from this year with a vote for delete. Should it just be redeleted as it seems people keep making it again? I also suggest removing it from the Mario Kart Template.Sir hugo 20:12, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't attempt a {{db-repost}} on Mario Kart Wii because I wasn't familiar with the content in the previous version of Mario Kart Wii, and particularly didn't know whether the Hideki Konno statements were used in that version. I figured the conservative route was the way to go. But delisting it from the template doesn't seem that controversial. I'll go ahead and do that now. Dancter 20:48, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] External Link - Microsoft Zune
According to your policy on External Links, what value are Zunearmy and Zuneuser adding to the Microsoft Zune page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zdogmktg (talk • contribs) 14:38, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- The issue of external links is being debated in the Microsoft Zune talk page. Please bring it up there. Dancter 14:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] External Link - The Noble Leader
Why is the external link that I added to The Noble Leader considered spam? It is not commercial, and the author is a subject matter expert. I am adding the link rather than he. And according to the guidelines established on WP:External_links, I am in compliance. See items 3, 4, and 5 under "What should be linked to". What's the problem? You don't have the right to remove my editing privileges or blacklist the site when I'm complying with the guidelines.
-Stormpeak —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stormpeak (talk • contribs) 21:04, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- This is the first time you have responded to messages concerning the addition of your link. Concerning your arguments for including the link according to Wikipedia:External links#What should be linked to: it does not qualify under item 3 as a "prominent site", it does not qualify under item 4 as "neutral and accurate material not already in the article", and its qualification under item 5 is debatable as "meaningful, relevant content". It does, however, seem to possibly fall under several categories under "Links normally to be avoided":
- 1. Site does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article here would have once it becomes a Wikipedia:Featured article. I would argue that it does not provide a sufficiently unique resource beyond what the article currently has.
- 2. Site contains mostly opinion or unverified original research, and certainly doesn't qualify as a reputable source.
- 4. While the site claims to be non-commercial, it is a website for a book that could be sold, and provides excerpts which may serve to promote that book.
- 9. It is a blog, running on WordPress, and the subject matter does not mandate such a link.
- If you still disagree, please discuss the issue further on the article's talk page. Thank you. Dancter 21:55, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My barnstars?!
What the hell... how cheap is that, lifting those barnstars right off of my userpage. :/ Nope, I've never encountered that user, and I certainly never authorized him to swipe my barnstars. --Coffee 17:24, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] semiprotection
thats because you arent new or anonymous, so it wont appear to be protected to youKaratenerd 07:21, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's just that the logs don't seem to indicate the semi-protection state, and that your edit count seems too low for an admin, which you'd need to be in order to actually do the semi-protection. Throwing up the template doesn't actually do anything by itself. On the other hand, removing the template doesn't acually do anything by itself, either, so I don't see that I'd done much harm either way. If I was mistaken, and the article had actually been semi-protected, please let me know where I went wrong. Dancter 07:33, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Xbox 360
There are several better sources for the 5 mil. figure found in the infobox at the top of the article [1] [2]. As for the sales predictions, your edits were correct, I didn't check that they were in a "by-the-end-of-the-quarter" context, sorry about that. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 18:09, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] re:edit to The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
Sorry, but that wasn't vandalism; Grim's accent is actually Romanian, not Jamaican. The Grim Reaper is a Romanian (from the Carpathian Forest) entity, not a jamaican entity. Nice try, though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AtomikWarTerrorizor (talk • contribs) 07:34, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Microsoft Zune Logo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Microsoft Zune Logo.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 14:37, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About Princess Daisy Beening in Brawl
How do you know about Princess Daisy beening in Brawl Why? 70.110.165.160 at Verison 21
- I don't. But as I mentioned in my message, "Editors may choose to remove material you have contributed if it is not verifiable." Statements that had been added on Princess Daisy being in Super Smash Bros. Brawl did not seem to meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you feel the statements should be in the article, you should cite sources for them to show that they are verifiable. Dancter 23:20, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Leave that cite sources their is for a reason for Princess Daisy beening in Super Smash Bros Brawl. 70.110.165.160 At Verison 23 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.110.165.160 (talk • contribs) 23:08, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- {{citation needed}} tags are for things that are not doubtful. Whether Princess Daisy is in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is certainly doubtful. That I didn't just remove it as doubtful and harmful was a courtesy, to allow some discussion on the matter. Dancter 23:25, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

- As I've tried to convey several times already, you need to verify your information. Otherwise there is no way for editors such as me to tell that you didn't just make it up. I repeat, "Editors may choose to remove material you have contributed if it is not verifiable." Dancter 00:51, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Princess Daisy Voice is Jen Taylor 2002-persent
Ok Princess Daisy is voice by Jen Taylor now and Princess Daisy is going to be on Brawl. And her voice is going to be Jen Taylor in the uncoming Super Smash Bros Brawl 70.110.165.160 at verison 3 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.110.165.160 (talk • contribs) 03:22, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Um, no. Daisy is voiced by Deanna Mustard. She has not been confirmed for Brawl, either. Also, I believe that Jen Taylor does not voice Nintendo characters anymore, seeing as Nicole Mills and Kelsey Hutchingson have voiced Peach and Toad recently (though, Taylor has voiced Peach this year once or twice). 124.177.205.43 03:46, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
