[edit] Welcome to the Military history WikiProject!

[edit] Great job

Outstanding work on the ARA article. I'm inspired to get more work done on the FSB Ripcord page. Feel free to jump in there and lend a hand. Crockspot 15:02, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Articles I'm Working on

  • Aerial Rocket Artillery - I created this aricle and continue to work on it.
  • HMLA-367 - I have added content and some references, and continue to watch it.
  • FSB Ripcord - I have added to the list of units involved and hope to add content soon.
  • Patrick Henry Brady - US Army helicopter pilot and MOH winner.

[edit] Temperance Bar

Please then, why does the template say "You may remove this message if you improve the article, or if you otherwise object to deletion of the article for any reason?" Dan D. Ric 10:54, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

A removal of a speedily delete message means the article is considered a proper article, and is not a candidate for deletion. Hangon should be used to stop an immediate delete, and to start a discussion. Generally, the user who created the page should not remove a speedily delete template. +Fin- 10:59, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Apologies, I did not realise the template was a delete template, and not a speedy. Regardless, the template should not be removed until the page has been substantially improved. As it stands, the Temperance Bar article is as it says on the delete template - non-notable, 100% spam - and should be deleted. +Fin- 11:07, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Block request

Thanks for your report, I have now blocked the user. Fortunately, I was online at the moment of your posting, but normally, you'd have gotten a swifter response at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism (shortcut: WP:AIV). Regards, Mike Rosoft 16:59, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the compliment re: the Attack helicopter page. I was planning on covering the Cobra longevity while discussing the AAH program and Apache. I'm currently looking for other research on the early development of the Russian Attack Helicopters. Thanks for your service, sir! (Born2flie 12:44, 4 October 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Monty Python's Life of Brian

Dan D. Ric, I don't understand why you reverted the page to the vandalised version. Please, try to revert to the correct version.:]--Qwerty 13:01, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

I got your message, no problems.:)--Qwerty 13:02, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Oh, I never realised that Wikipedia worked that way. Anyway, if you want to monitor the page, it's alright. Sorry for the state of affairs. Thanks for explaining, also.
Say, when do you feel is it necessary to issue warnings to vandals? Isn't it all too opinionated?--Qwerty 13:07, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Dan D. Ric for the advice regarding actions to take against vandals. --Qwerty 13:16, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nursing Portal & wikiproject

Hi, You may or may not be aware that User:THB has crated a Nursing Portal and Nursing Wikiproject aiming to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Nursing. It would be great if all Wikipedian nurses got involved. — Rod talk 19:14, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] vandalism?

when did adding {{fact}} become vandalism and nonsense? 68.40.243.186 10:41, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Good question. However, since I see no edits in your history of contributions that I have reverted, I have no way of giving you an answer. Dan D. Ric 10:53, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 19 October 2006

Ta. And thank you too. Gotyear 15:04, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject SpongeBob SquarePants Newsletter
November 2006 Volume 1, Issue 3
About
The WikiProject SpongeBob SquarePants newsletter is a monthly newsletter posted on the first of the month. AMK152 writes and publish it. If you have any questions or comments please post them here or on AMK152's talk page. In addition, the project needs at least one more newsletter writer. If you are interested, please see the WikiProject's talkpage.
Interviews
Starting in December 2006, the Project will interview its members. The interviews will be published in the newsletter each month, and hopefully this can improve the SpongeBob SquarePants articles. See the talk page for more details.
Concerns and questions
Please leave a message with AMK152 if you have questions concerning the project. You may also post at the WikiProject's talkpage and someone will answer.
Featured articles
We are trying to make several articles good or featured articles. We would like your help reaching featured article status. We are currently working on SpongeBob SquarePants, Krusty Krab, and Bikini Bottom. Please help us improve these articles, based on the peer reviews and your knowledge of Wikipedia featured articles.
Project objectives
  • Episode Pages:
  • Infoboxes need to be complete on each episode article. (See Template:SpongeBob episode)
  • A screenshot of each title card for each episode needs to be complete on each episode article to improve it.
  • Please try to help incorperate all trivia into the rest of the articles.
  • Try to incorperate non notable quotes to Wikiquote
  • Games: The SpongeBob game articles need to be expanded, especially the stubs. See here: Template:SpongeBob Games.
  • SpongeBob Books - On the List of SpongeBob SquarePants Media, books needed to be listed and a description of the book.
  • Featured and Good Articles - If you believe it's good enough, feel free to nominate it. Some of these articles are just great but aren't getting nominated. Adding content to let it reach the status is just as important.
