There's a lot of unnecessary information here and not a lot of information about his political career.

The Night Club attack had absolutely nothing to do with the labour dispute and strike.

Is Mr. Williams religious? HD 123321 02:48, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV

I would like to see the section on the seal hunt in this article more closely resemble that on Paul McCartney's page. The section here is obviously written from an anti-hunt perspective. BoojiBoy 20:25, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Well feel free to delve into the History of the Paul McCartney page and salvage what you want (be sure to include a link back to that article in your edit summary, for GFDL purposes, though). I've just zapped most of it for being POV and more to the point way over the top. McCartney has a career of nearly 50 years now, and yet one minor (to the rest of the world) trip to Canada was being given undue prominence. I feel the episode is properly discussed in this article, since Mr Williams is the premier of Newfoundland.

I was a bit bothered that McCartney (male) is referred to throughout this article as "Sir Paul" when the usual encyclopedic style would be "McCartney". It then occured to me, however, that since his wife took part too, the article needs to distinguish between the two of them, so "Paul" is needed. The question, then, is should he be referred to as "Sir Paul" or as "Paul McCartney"? --kingboyk 22:11, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] External link to New York Times article

I removed the link to the New York Times article as you had to pay to read the full thing. This is basically advertising/selling, and doesn't belong on Wikipedia.--Sima Yi 04:33, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
