I find it hard to believe that the Dallas Cowboys were favored in the NFC Championship Games from 1980 - 1982.

First off, the Cowboys were on the road for all 3 games. The away team is almost never the favorite in that situation.

Also, in 1981 the Cowboys played the 49ers during the regular season before the NFC Championship Game. They got killed by the 49ers 45 -14. I doubt Dallas would have been a favorite in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers weeks later.
