[edit] Performance Artist?

I see there's been some question of whether the term "performance artist" is correct. Reading the excellent article, it sounds like Pratt's lectures were eccentric but entirely sincere. For it to qualify as performance art, wouldn't Pratt have to have thought of it as an act? Thanks, William Pietri 04:51, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

It's easy to speculate but hard to confirm what Pratt's own private subjective intentions were, but I think the term "performance artist" is broad enough to include people who are not obviously considering their performance to be "an act." -Moorlock 16:35, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
