Danyon Joseph Loader ONZM (born on April 21, 1975 in Timaru) is a swimmer from New Zealand. He represented New Zealand at three Commonwealth Games; 1990, 1994 and 1998 and two Olympic Games; 1992 and 1996. In 1992, at Barcelona, he won a silver medal in the 200m Butterfly. In 1996, he won two gold medals in Atlanta, in the 200m and 400m freestyle races. He set World Records in the 200m butterfly and 400m freestyle (short course) and was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2002.

He has recently reappeared on the local swimming scene after years spent away from it. He is now interested in coaching.

He was recently voted off the New Zealand version of Dancing with the Stars.
