Dante Salvatierra

Dante G. Salvatierra (born November 20, 1972), American teacher, politician and author. In 2004 he ran unsuccessfully with the Green Party for the United States House of Representatives in the Second District of Nebraska.
Born in Oakland, California, he attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. He is ethnically Filipino-American and is a member of the Unitarian church.
He also wrote a novel for children entitled The Latchkey Kids and the Search for the Sacred Statue. In August of 2005 he published The Latchkey Kids and the Trip Through the Mysterious Portal. In October of 2006 he published The Latchkey Kids and the Fight for a Free Fifth Grade. He is currently an elementary school teacher and lives in Omaha, Nebraska.
