Danny Kopec

Dr. Danny Kopec (born February 28, 1954) is an international chess master, author, and computer science professor at Brooklyn College. He graduated from Dartmouth College in the class of 1975.
Kopec has achieved the FIDE International Master title and has been a semi-professional chess player since 1976. He has written numerous books on the subject of chess, including Test, Evaluate and Improve Your Chess written with Hal Terrie. Kopec has also worked to promote his "Kopec System"(1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Bd3!?).
As of October 2004, his FIDE rating is 2390.
