Danny Boy is also the name of a famous folk song.

Danny Boy or DB is the stage name of Chicago native Danny Steward, a contemporary African-American soul singer. He was signed to Death Row Records in '94. He made his debut on 1994's Murder Was the Case soundtrack with the R&B charter Come When I Call (Produced by DJ Quik). He is best known for singing the choruses of 2Pac songs like I Ain't Mad at Cha, Picture Me Rollin' , and Toss It Up. In 1995, he released his first single entitled Slip N Slide (Produced by DeVante Swing and Reggie Moore), and shot the video in Cuba. Danny Boy has recorded about 4-5 albums while on Death Row Records.[citation needed]Danny Boy appeared on American Idol but was disqualified due to internet promotion.[citation needed]He is currently working on some projects for his own label "Platinum Pearl."
