Dankook University is a private university in Seoul, South Korea. There is also an extension campus in Cheonan, a city in South Chungcheong province, and a third campus is scheduled to open in Yongin in 2006. The university hosts a student body of about 20,000, and employs about 630 instructors.

Founded in 1947, Dankook University claims to be the oldest four-year private college in South Korea [1]. Academics were suspended in 1950 after the start of the Korean War, but were resumed in 1951.
