Dangerman

Alonso Blackwood, highly accomplished Spanish Reggae artist (born on December 8, 1972 in Panama City, Panama). In the streets of Panama he has been anointed “king of the Ghetto”. Dangerman began his artistic career at the early age of 13, when he demonstrated his talent to write and improvise over popular songs as well as performing duos with romantic artists. He developed a love for reggae music and in 1996 this passion took him to Jamaica where he quickly found his way into Kingston’s Reggae scene. He attended numerous recording sessions and spent time with some of Jamaica’s finest reggae artist. Here he is dubbed “the man of thousand voices” because of his particular ability to sing in different tones and octaves No one is certain where the name Dangerman came from however childhood friends tell stories about his grandmother who often complained that the hyperactive child was “dangerous”.

His high energy concerts and uncanny ability to connect with his audience has created strong demand across Latin America where he has performed successfully in Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Honduras also in cities like New York, Atlanta, New Jersey and Washington D.C.
