DanceWriting
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
DanceWriting is a form of dance notation. Developed in 1972 by Valerie Sutton, it is part of a greater body of work called MovementWriting or the International Movement-Writing Alphabet.
DanceWriting uses figurative and abstract symbols on a five-staff stave (the Western music notation stave). It is similar in appearance to Benesh Movement Notation.
There are many other forms of dance notation, such as Labanotation and Benesh Movement Notation.
