From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dan Kimball is a pastor, author and part of the Emerging Church movement. Kimball uses the phrases "Vintage Faith" and "Vintage Christianity" for how he expresses his perspective of the emerging church going back to "vintage" values of the original Christian church and teachings of Jesus.
Dan Kimball is the pastor of Vintage Faith Church in Santa Cruz, California. Vintage Faith Church is a church plant of Santa Cruz Bible Church that began in 2004. His church vision statement seen on their website states that they desire to be a "worshiping community of missional theologians".
Vintage Faith Church, along with Kimball's writings are often focused on designing worship services which bring in the usage of art, prayer stations and other creative and artistic forms of worship in addition to the preaching and the singing.
Kimball is known as one of the more theologically conservative voices in the emerging church discussion. He is a graduate of Multnomah Biblical Seminary and Western Seminary.
