Dan Humphrey

Daniel Humphrey is a fictional character in the popular New York Times best selling series Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar. A thin, sensitive, chain smoking, caffeine addicted poet who often sees the darker side to things and has said his favorite word is "death". Dan is a romantic whose imagination runs off wildly at the worst times. He overanalyzes and is easily frustrated. He looks out for his loved ones, and is especially protective of his sister, Jenny. For the longest time he was obsessed with Serena van der Woodsen then after she broke up with him for being to intense realized his true feelings for Vanessa. The love of his life appears to be Vanessa Abrams, but he wasn't always the best boyfriend. He cheated on Vanessa with Mystery Craze, a yellow-toothed and insanely skinny poetess. He has had several writing related jobs, and a poem called "Sluts" published in the The New Yorker, thanks to Vanessa. He also hooked up with a yoga freak named Bree, right after he moved in with Vanessa.
Dan Humphrey is also a homo from a small town in Ohio called Garfield Hts.
