Daniel "Dan" Jacob Calichman (born February 21, 1968, came from Huntington Station, NY) is a former American soccer defender.

Calichman played college soccer at Williams College, where he was a three-time Division III All-American. He went on to play in Japan, first for Mazda F.C. in 1990 and 1991, and then for the Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the newly-formed J-League in 1992 and 1993. Calichman became the first American to play in the J-League. In 1995, he moved back to America and played for the New York Centaurs of the A-League.

In 1996, Calichman was allocated to the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. He would captain the team for three seasons, until a trade to the New England Revolution before the 1999 season. He would end his MLS career splitting 2000 between the Revs and the San Jose Earthquakes and spent 2001 in the A-League with the Charleston Battery.

Calichman was capped three times for the United States, all in 1997. Currently, he is head coach at Claremont McKenna College.
