Dan Bălan, born February 6, 1979 in Chişinău, Moldova, is a pop singer, songwriter, and producer. He was the front man of the pop band O-Zone, writing and producing all their material. His most successful song, performed by O-Zone, was Dragostea din tei, also known as the Numa Numa song. His hit Despre tine reached #1 in five countries and reached #6 in the main European charts. Currently he lives in Los Angeles and is the lead singer of rock band Balan.
