Damon Darcangelo

Damon Lebro Darcangelo (born October 28, 1978 in Boston, Massachusetts) is a former Professional Wrestler and submission grappler.
Damon Darcangelo began wrestling pro in 1996 under the guidance of WWE Hall of Famer Killer Kowalski. His first match was a tag team contest in January 1997 in Southbridge, MA. against Mike Hollow and former WWE Tag Team Champion ( Scott Taylor ) Scotty too Hottie. Damon continued much of his career in the tag team ranks along with former partner ( Steve King ) Phoenix King under the stage name The Ark Angels. Damon also worked in singles action as well as managing and officiating. His most notable moment as an official was on March 29,1998 at Wrestlemania 14 in Boston, Ma. when he was supplexed by UFC toughman Ken Shamrock after an Intercontinental Championship match against The Rock. In 1999 Damon's tag team career came to life after being brought into the NWA New England by late wrestling promoter Tony Rumble. The Ark Angels reined two times as NWA New England Tag Team Champions during the highest peak in the company’s history and to this day is still considered one of the best tag teams in New England wrestling history. Damon also found great success in 1999 in singles competition while wrestling for the Eastern Wrestling Alliance. He defeated three wrestlers in one night during a tournament to become the first Hardcore Champion. Damon reined as champion for over eight months before losing his title to Kidd USA, the same man he defeated in the tournament finals. Damon continued to work for both NWA New England and the EWA until the passing of NWANE owner Tony Rumble in late 1999. Damon left the NWANE and continued to work in the EWA recapturing the Hardcore Championship for a second time but only to drop the title a month later in what would become Damon's very controversial departure from the Eastern Wrestling Alliance. Damon returned to wrestling in late 2000 managed by WWE Hall of Famer Capt. Lou Albano and worked until July 2001 when he wrestled his last match in his hometown of Haverhill, MA defeating Brickhouse Baker.
