Damn Dirty Apes, often shortened to DDA or D.D.A., is a satirical comic strip and news syndication that primarily focuses on the video game and entertainment industry. Damn Dirty Apes is illustrated and written by Adam Capps and Chris Rumpf. DDA’s teaser website debuted in late 2005. It was featured in April of 2006 as a community spotlight on Blizzard’s World of Warcraft homepage and received a huge show of support from fans based on the initial comic posting. In order to support increased readership, Damn Dirty Apes went live in October, 2006 with a revamped website including a weekly webcomic and blog-style commentary on the latest gaming news.

Monkeyboy - The DDA comic strip regularly features the cartoon character Monkeyboy who serves as the webcomic's main protagonist. Monkeyboy typically explores various game worlds as an exposition on the current game culture.
