Damien Fitzhenry

Damien Fitzhenry is an Irish sportsman. He is the goalkeeper on the Wexford senior hurling team.

Damien Fitzhenry is one of the most familiar names in hurling today. A player with the Duffry Rovers GAA club in Wexford Fitzhenry has won virtually every honour in senior hurling. He made his debut in the National Hurling League quarter-final of 1993 against Westmeath and has since played over 130 competitive games for Wexford. Although renowned as a goalkeeper, Fitzhenry spent a period as a forward with Wexford prior to the 1996 championship season. That year he won his first Leinster and All-Ireland honours. He received two more Leinster titles in 1997 and 2004, as well All Star Awards in 1997 and 2004.
