Damanjodi is a small town in the district of Koraput, nearer to Semiliguda, in the Indian state of Orissa. It is primarily a hilly area with scarce population. A vast majority of the population of Damanjodi comprises of the employees of National Aluminium Company (NALCO), the Asia's largest producer of aluminium.

National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) is Asia's largest integrated aluminium complex, encompassing bauxite mining, called Panchapatmali mines, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations, now next to expansion of around Rs. 4, 000 crore rupees,it targets for another expansion.NALCO is also involved in community developement. NALCO also concentrates upon the entertainment and refreshment and greenery of its surroundings.

Damanjodi is separated into 3 regions or sectors viz. 1, 2,and, 3,comprising of qrs types A, B, C, D, E, F, T and Duplex models. However the only one F type Alumina House is proudly owned by the E.D. of M&R cplx.
Two large Co-Operative stores, market complex,and clubs, community centres, and temples, mosques are in this town. Nalco's VIP-guest house is the best place for the visitors. Well developed water supply and treatment plant, hospitals, 24hrs power supply, banks with ATMs, all together come as a boon to this hill top town.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Damanjodi had a population of 8475. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Damanjodi has an average literacy rate of 83%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 85% and, female literacy is 81%. In Damanjodi, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.

- Saraswati Vidya Mandiris a school that nurture the values of culture through education.Respect and happiness, comfortability....all blessings can be obtained by the grace of goddess Saraswati. A mass of 1100 students, and Teaching/Non-Teaching staff is around 170. It has also a Higher Secondary Wing, with Arts & Science Streams. Well developed infrastructure is another core value that attracts the NALCOnians for building the futures of their children. Alumni of this institutions have great name in the field of sports, art & literature.
