Damalasaurus

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Damalasaurus" (meaning "Damala lizard") is the informal name given to a genus of dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic. It was a sauropod; fossils of "Damalasaurus" have been found in China.

The type species, "Damalasaurus laticostalis", is a nomen nudum. A second species, "D. magnus", also exists. Neither species has ever been fully described, though the name was published (by Zhao) in 1985.
