"Damage Inc." is the final and 8th song from Metallica's 1986 album Master Of Puppets.
Like the song "Orion" preceding it, "Damage Inc." starts off with a whirling, hypnotic bass intro by Cliff Burton, that includes more of his signature volume swells and harmonies. This abruptly gives way to the overpowering thrash metal contained in the rest of the song.
Its lyrical matter deals with pointless violence and destruction. Interestingly, the lines "Fuck it all and fucking no regrets; Never happy endings on these dark sets," are closely re-used on the song "St. Anger".
