[edit] Dalton's Biography
In March 10, 1992, Dalton Kuepker was born in the Portland Adventist Hospital, located in Portland Oregon to two happy parents in Sellwood Oregon, who will remain anonymous throughout this entire article. Dalton currently has one brother and one sister, who will also remain anonymous.
Dalton was born with a disorder called Autism, which makes is hard for him to make friends, due to his inability to read people's facial expressions, or understand things like figures of speech. It also limits his interests to certain things that he likes, like a computer, or video games for instance. In 1994, one year after his brother was born, Dalton's Mother found out that he had Autism by his doctor. Dalton's Mother contacted his doctor after she noticed that Dalton was acting out of the ordinary. Dalton was hitting people for no apparent reason, not interacting with people properly in his preschool, and was "stuck in his little Dalton world". She put Dalton through some therapy.
In 1995, Dalton's family moved to a house in West Linn Oregon due to their old house's small size. Dalton then went to Cedaroak Primary School. He went to a special education class. Dalton went on medication to help his behavior problems, only to help fuel his tics. Dalton had one very unpleasant tic his parents dub, "The Scratchies", where if Dalton hears a noise he doesn't like, his legs spaz out uncontrollably. It caused Dalton many problems, and he eventually went off his medication after a horrible incident that involved him "ticking out" and staying up all night.
In 2003, when Dalton was in fifth grade, he discovered his musical talent. Dalton developed an interest in his Father's music studio, and Dalton decided to produce his first ever song. It was produced in Cakewalk Pro, in General MIDI form. With the help of his Father, he produced a CDR of his first song, "Disko Fever". It would be dubbed "unprofessional" by all artists, but it was a start of his music career. He showed his peers his song in his music class in the fifth grade. He received positive feedback from both his music teacher and his peers. Later he migrated from Cakewalk Pro to Reason 2.5.
From 2002 to 2004, fifth grade to seventh grade, Dalton developed a hate towards his Mother due to her harsh punishments and her lack of understanding Dalton's emotions. One day, in sixth grade, Dalton got angry at his parents for unexplainable reasons, and told his teachers that he was going to kill his parents. The teachers then called home, and Dalton's parents took him to the emergency room. Dalton then received therapy for his suicide/homicide attempt(s). After therapy, Dalton received Abilify, which is an anti psychotic medication. When Dalton was having his medication, he started feeling a lot better, and decided to produce music again. By the time Dalton started having his medication, he already had a Newgrounds account and already started posting his music there.
In 2003, Dalton became a regular member (Known as Sonic Rules321) at Sonic HQ. He, unfortunately, had a bad reputation, mostly due of his lack of social skills. He got flamed, and eventfully banned in 2004 due to him spamming (This time on purpose, due to him realizing that the community in Sonic HQ is not right for him.). In early 2005, Dalton made a new account, and started spamming. That resulted in his ISP being contacted and his internet access being temporarily shut down.
Dalton then left Sonic HQ alone for the moment and produced his music while he was grounded from the internet. After he was grounded, he was more mature, and decided to open up a Soundclick Account and an Audiostreet Account. He is still updating his sites occasionally when he makes new songs. He also got into music games like In the Groove, and O2Jam. Dalton also joined ITG Freak. He posts there frequently.
In 2006, Dalton stopped taking his Abilify. There are no current plans for him to go back on.
[edit] Dalton's Music
Dalton Kuepker produced two songs using Cakewalk Pro. One named "Disko Fever" and one named "Disko Rules". Both were made in General MIDI form and burned on CDs. Only one CD Dalton has, and is currently in Dalton's hutch located in his dining room.
When he migrated from Cakewalk Pro to Reason 2.5, he made an uncountable amount of songs, and uploaded them on his Newgrounds account. Dalton says that they aren't his best works, and warns people to "listen at your own risk". It makes since to most people, because Dalton was twelve years old during the period he wrote his old songs. Dalton since then made a Soundclick Account and an Audiostreet Account for his updated works.
Dalton has been criticized by a few people due to Dalton Kuepker's music being repetitive. Dalton is aware of that, and he is trying to work on it.
Dalton currently uses Reason 3.0, Cubase LE, and an Alesis Proton x25 keyboard. He sometimes gets criticized by professional musicians because he doesn't use real synthesizers and only software-based ones. This is due to Dalton's low budget and he says that he would buy a synthesizer if it weren't for that.
