Dalma Hills
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Dalma Hills are located near the industrial town of Jamshedpur in Eastern India. These small hills are part of Dalma Forest reserve, famous for its asiatic elephants and are favored trekking grounds for the Tata Adventure Forum. Atop the hills one finds breathtaking view of the industrial town, complete with occasional slag dumps and industrial flames. Tata steel and Jharkhand Forest Department maintain two well furnished guest houses atop the hills, perfect place for night camping. The night sky as observed from Dalma hills is perhaps one of the clearest in Eastern India.
