Daley Bicentennial Plaza
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Daley Bicentennial Plaza is a City of Chicago Park District building serving the New Eastside and surrounding communities.
Nestled in the heart of Grant Park, Daley Bicentennial Plaza patrons are drawn from the downtown business community as well as the nearby ever–expanding residential neighborhood. Programs include fitness, yoga, aerobics, ice–skating and preschool classes. In the summer, the park is devoted to day camp, tennis and Chicago style 16” softball.
As part of the long-term lease of all the Grant Park parking garages to Morgan Stanley, the Plaza will likely be under construction and rebuilt during the next five years. Morgan Stanley is not obligated to rebuild the Daley fieldhouse which is used by many Park district and community programs.
