Dalešice Dam
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dalešice waterwork lies on the Jihlava river in the Czech Republic. It was built between 1970 and 1978 as a water source for the nearby Dukovany nuclear plant. With nearby Mohelno Reservoir, it is part of the Dalešice pumped-storage plant. The installed capacity of its turbines is 450 MW. The gravity dam is 108 m high (the highest in the Czech Republic), so the reservoir is also the deepest in the Czech Republic. The reservoir has a capacity of 127 million m³.
