Dalakhani
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dalakhani is a racehorse owned and bred by HH Aga Khan IV, and trained by Alain de Royer-Dupré. He was sired by Darshaan covering Daltawa (Miswaki), and is therefore half-brother to Daylami. He was foaled in 2000. He won four G1 races: Critérium International (as a two-year old), Prix Lupin, Prix du Jockey Club and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, being beaten by half a length in the Irish Derby by another Aga Khan Studs horse, Alamshar. He also won two G2 races, and overall won eight of nine starts.
Dalakhani was voted European Horse of the Year for 2003.
