Dalaba is a town in the Fouta Djallon highlands of Guinea, lying north west of Mamou. It was once home to a sanatorium, and to Miriam Makeba. The town is also known for its local strawberries. The town of Dalaba is the highest ( in altitude) town in Guinea. It is aprox. 360 km from the capital Conakry. The inhabitants of Dalaba are mostly fulbe. The market day in Dalaba is Sunday's
