Dai Tamesue

Dai Tamesue (為末大, Tamesue Dai, born May 3, 1978) is an Japanese athlete, competing mainly in 400 m hurdles but also 400 m.

Tamesue won a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton, setting a new personal best of 47.89 which still stands, and won another bronze medal at the 2002 Asian Games. He finished third again at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics with 48.10. In driving rain, he started fast to take the early lead before being overtaken on the final bend. He dived over the line for a bronze to edge out Kerron Clement of the USA who jogged over the line.
