Dabur India Limited is the fourth largest FMCG Company in India with interests in Health care, Personal care and Food products. It is most famous for Dabur Chyawanprash and Hajmola.

Dabur has a turnover of approximately Rs. 19 billion (approx. US$ 420 million) during the fiscal year 2005-2006, with brands like Dabur Amla, Dabur Chyawanprash, Vatika, Hajmola & Real. Their growth rate rose from 10% to 40%. In two years the growth rate expected by them to change two folds. Dabur operates in more than 5 countries and has sales worldwide. The company was founded by Dr. S.K. Burman in 1884 as a small pharmacy in Calcutta (now Kolkata), West Bengal, India, and is now led by his great-grandson V.C. Burman. The company headquarters are in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, near the Indian capital of New Delhi, where it is registered. Dabur has manufacturing operations in India, Africa and the United Arab Emirates. Hospitals, schools and call centers, as well as exports to Australia, West Asia, Africa and Europe.

The company, through Dabur Pharma Ltd.b does toxicology tests and markets ayurvedic medicines in a scientific manner. They have researched new medicines which will find use in O.T all over the country therein opening a new market.

Dabur Foods, a subsidiary of Dabur India is expecting to grow at 25%, has project sales of Rs 100 crore in next three years. Dabur foods mainly supplied beverages to institutional customers. It will therefore increase its range of products to include tomato based products.

  • Dabur has major expansion plans for overseas market and considering acquisitions and alliances outside India as it aims to increase its foreign sales from 11.4% to 15% in the next four years.
  • Dabur will be investing Rs 100 crore for processing and procurement to compete with Pepsi's Tropicana and other juice brands.

Within the next 4 years Dabur plans to increase its juice sales to Rs 500 crore. It will spend Rs. 150 crore in advertising the Real, Activ and Coolers brand of juices.
