Da Bush Babees are members of the late 1980s to early-mid 1990s rap alliance known as the Native Tongues Posse. The members of the group are Babe-B-Face Kaos [later Lee Majors], Y-Tee, and Mister Man. All three grew up in Jamaica and Trinidad, and hence reggae strongly influenced their style. The group saw its genesis in Brooklyn, NY in 1992 when Mister Man saw Kaos perform. The two began collaborating, and after Mister Man suggested adding a reggae toaster Y-Tee joined the group. After their early concert dates sparked major-label interest, the trio performed live office auditions and signed with Reprise - three months after launching the band. Their debut, Ambushed (1994), featured production from Jermaine Dupri, Nikke Nikole, J. Prince Matteus, Mark Batson, Salaam Gibbs, and the group itself. Other releases included Remember We (1995) and Gravity (1996) which was the group's first underground and commercial success.

Mr. Man later changed his moniker to Mr. Khaliyl. He went on to produce for other artists and also released a rare 12"-single on Rawkus featuring Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch and DCQ.

According to http://www.urbansmarts.com/interviews/bushbabees.htm the Bush Babees were planning to release a new album sometime during 2003. The album was never released and its current status is unknown.
