Devarakonda Vittal Rao (born 14 November 1947) is a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Mahabubnagar constituency of Andhra Pradesh and is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party.

His family runs sucessful educational institutes which include a engineering college known as DVR College Of Engineering and technology also a MBA ,MCA and Fashion technology.
BACKGROUND:
Hailing from a poor family he has rose to a respectable level in the society.His father Sayappa being a herbal doctor in a remote village called LAGACHARLA in Mahbubnagar District of Andhra Pradesh and mother Thimamma a house wife supported him in all ways to complete his higher education.His early interest in serving people has motivated him to join politics,thats when he joined congress party.He completed his B.A. and was also served as a student leader then.
Gradually through time he moved up ranks from Joint seceratry to Treasurer to Member of Indian parliament.
TRIVIA:
Known as one of most low profiled leader in the congress party who hasn't changed his party since beginning.
Known for his philanthrapist acts of paying tution fees of poor students which was also covered in a local televion channel,providing jobs to under privileged and people who approaches him.
