D. D. Weerasinghe

D.D. Weerasinghe was a Sri Lankan Mudliyar and is known for his key role in supporting and financing the restoration of the ancient Buddhist temple, Seruwila Vihara, in Trincomalee during the early 1900s. The Seruwila Vihara is considered one of the most venerable ancient Buddhist temples to be found in the Eastern province of Sri Lanka.
