D-D Breaux is the head coach of the LSU women's gymnastics team. She is the "Dean of Coaches" at LSU, having led the gymnastics team for 29 years.
Breaux has been named SEC Coach of the Year on five occasions (1993, 1994, 1995, 2000 and 2005) and NCAA Central Regional Coach of the Year three times (1999, 2002 and 2005), in addition to being named a finalist for National Coach of the Year honors in 1988 when she guided the Tigers to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships.
Breaux’s teams have made 18 appearances in the NCAA Championships, capturing 7 NCAA Regional titles. She has a career record of 495-302-7.
Breaux's Lady Tigers have placed among the nation's top-12 teams 21 times in her 29 seasons. LSU has also placed among the top three in regional competition on 21 separate occasions, winning regional titles in 1978, 1979, 1980, 1986, 2002, 2004 and 2005. The Lady Tigers earned the SEC Championship title in 1981, finished second in 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005, and third in 1982, 1983, 1997, 1998 and 2004.
