Dønnes

Dønnes is a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway.
It was created by a split from Nesna on July 1, 1888. At that time Dønnes had a population of 1,348.
On 1 January 1962 the island Tomma with 80 inhabitants was reunited with Nesna. The rest of Dønnes, with 1,348 inhabitants, was merged with Nordvik and the island Løkta in Nesna to create the new municipality Dønna.
