From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Czech Germans (in German Deutschböhmen, in Czech češští Němci or němečtí Češi) was (from around 1848) the traditional name for German speaking inhabitants of the Czech lands. Those living in Moravia (Mähren) were alternatively called Moravian Germans, those living in Czech Silesia (Austrian Silesia) were alternatively called Silesian Germans.

The political term Sudeten Germans (Sudetendeutche, Sudetští Němci) grew up in use after 1918 taking over older terms.
