Cyril Dessel

Cyril Dessel (born 29 November 1974 Rive-de-Gier) is a French professional cyclist. He made his professional debut in 2000 with the Jelly Belly Cycling Team and later raced for the Jean Delatour and Phonak teams. He is currently a member of the AG2R Prévoyance team.
In 2006, he won the Tour Méditerranéen on the UCI Europe Tour. Then in the 2006 Tour de France, he finished second in the tenth stage of the race, taking for one day the race leader's yellow jersey as well as the lead in the King of the Mountains competition; he eventually finished seventh in the race.
