Cyprus Basketball Division 1

The First division of the Men’s Basketball league is currently the top competition on the Cyprus Basketball calendar. It is run and governed by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. 8 teams play each other twice (home and away) during the regular season, with the top teams reaching the playoff stage.

The following 8 teams (in alphabetical order) will be competing in the 2006-07 season.

Two teams at the end of the season are relegated to the second division, whilst two teams from the second division are promoted to here.

The top teams also qualify for entry in FIBA Europe’s competitions.
