Cutler Series

The Cutler series is a series of five books written by VC Andrews. Published between 1990 and 1993, the book series covers nearly 80 years of the history of the Cutler family, who own a prestigious hotel.

Dawn tells the story of a young girl, Dawn, from a poor family, who is told that she was kidnapped by the people she thought were her parents, and that she is instead part of the Cutler family. The main plot in this story is about Dawn learning to cope with her new family.

Secrets of the Morning. In this book, Dawn goes away to New York to study singing. She has a daughter, Christie, with a smooth-talking musician, Michael, and she begins a relationship with Jimmy, the man she thought was her brother.

Twilight's Child - In this book, Dawn returns to the Cutler mansion as its owner. She marries Jimmy, and finds his long-lost sister, Fern.

Midnight Whispers - This book focusses on Dawn's daughter Christie and her brother. Dawn and Jimmy died in a fire, and so Christie and her brother live with their Uncle Philip and Aunt Bet. Christie is raped by Philip, who has been obsessed with Dawn, his sister, since they first met.

Darkest Hour - This book focusses on Grandma Cutler, Lillian, in her teenage years.
