Hi, I'm Curse of Fenric, better known in some Internet forums as Timelord. I am in my 40's, married with no children and I live in country Victoria, Australia. Most of the time I am found working on Australian rules football (the only real football) and sometimes professional wrestling. I am unemployed, and have a disability known as Aspergers Syndrome. My time is made up of maintaining my website, Phil's World, which includes a forum (the link to the website is at the bottom of the page) as well as supporting football at the grass roots level, and participating where I can in the local pro wrestling industry as a referee, commentator or manager. I also follow WWE and to an extent TNA. In my local community I run the scorebook for the local cricket team and as well as their website. I am hoping to get a story in the local newspaper sometime in the next few weeks.

I am also in process of preparing an upgrade for my personal website - which will include the wikifying of many aspects of it. It will probably mean the linking of the information there to Wikipedia, but that is not yet confirmed because I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that! It will at least give me a chance to express a personal opinion on certain articles I put there - which of course is not allowed on article pages here (and rightly so).

[edit] Aspergers Syndrome

Aspergers

As an Aspie, an abbreviated term for a sufferer of Aspergers Syndrome, I take a very strong interest in truth and justice. To that end issues of disability discrimination concern me greatly. At present I am trying to get an enquiry going in Australia's Federal Parliament Committee on Family and Human Services. This is something that I have been wanting since I first approached them in October 2002. It has been a very frustrating battle - but I am persisting for not just my own sake, but for the sake of other adult Aspies as well. I am a member of two Aspie forums, Aspergian Island and Aspies for Freedom. Meanwhile I am doing my best to educate in Aspergers Syndrome in the face of experiments in eugenics by certain individuals. I will not stand for anyone interfering with my structure (AKA routine) and I have already had two successes in court against two such people who have interfered with it - in June 2003 and again in April 2006.

[edit] Australian rules football

Football

This user couldn't care less about football.

I have followed Australian rules football since I was 7 years old, i.e. 1972. The first game I saw was between Collingwood and Geelong and I was a Collingwood supporter throughout my childhood and teenage years. However I stopped financially supporting the elite level in 1986 and since then I have supported local football - with a particular soft spot for Preston/Northern Bullants and Donvale. I umpired for 18 seasons between 1983 and 2003 with a three year break during the mid 1980's. My last regular game was a VAFA D2 Grade reserves first semi final between Fitzroy Reds and West Brunswick. I acted as a goal umpire for the West Kimberley Football League in May 2006 while visiting Broome. I also used to video games weekly until the Queen's Birthday weekend in 1993 when I had a freak accident with my camera in Bendigo. Nowadays I concentrate on my project - Australian Rules Football - History in Progress, which involves research that takes me to the state libraries of each state and to local football clubs on Saturday afternoon's during the season. I also attend a lot of local grand finals in September. I do reports on each game and they can be found in the Phil's Weekend section of the football section of my forum.

[edit] Professional wrestling

PAY TV This user subscribes to either Foxtel, Optus, Austar or some other type of pay television

I have followed professional wrestling since 1985 when I first saw the original Wrestlemania. Like many Australian fans I went through withdrawal symptoms when the WWF (as they were known then) went off the air in Australia in 1990. I tried to follow it through a local 1900 phone service, the magazines, and then the Internet, but I finally got pay TV in 2001 and my first pay-per-view was Backlash. In 2002 I started training to be a referee and I made my debut in August of that year at a show in Melton. Since then I have worked for ARPW, RCK, EWA, XAW, NAW and a couple of community shows. I also refereed a rookie match for the AWF in March 2006. I was on an enforced break at the time, thanks to the political antics of certain individuals who should know better - but hopefully that will soon be completely rectified. The business is a part of me that I will never let go. I returned at an XAW show in August 2006 and I debuted at HRPW in November with more shows comings in December, January and March.

My website also contains a section on my all time favourite TV series, Doctor Who. It's fairly empty at the moment, due to the efforts that have been made to keep the football and the wrestling sections up to date but I hope that finally this summer I will catch up. I was delighted to hear back in 2004 that the series was going back into production and even though the format has been very different and a number of storys were unusual to say the least a true fan really wouldn't mind that much! My love of this show is reflected in my user name here ('Curse of Fenric' is the name of a classic episode from the 1989 season) and on the Internet forums as Timelord - a nickname that I have used since I created my first Hotmail account in the late 1990's. There was a fake "Timelord" (trying to mock my nickname) on a couple of wrestling forums but one has died and the other the person has seen sense and gone back to their own ID. As indicated, the fourth Doctor is my favourite, but also like Doctor 2, Doctor 3 and Doctor 7.

[edit] Politics

Politics
This user thinks civilian gun ownership is a BAD IDEA.

Partly due to all the battling I have been doing for a fair go (see the Aspergers section above) I have become interested in politics in general. I have a "fantasy" political party policy section on my website - the party is called the Action Party. In there is an expression of my views on a number of issues in the form of a party platform - complete with various comments from other people. It was a shame that a waste of webspace existed (I won't name it) making fun of the structure when it is not intended to be real as such - but now that website has been sent off in a completely different direction thankfully.

Through my website, I also have an interest in rail travel. There is a lot of information on my website about that, and it will be added to a great deal soon. At some point in the future I will be adding sections on MASH and Star Wars but only if I have time to do it. The website is already large enough though and I wouldn't be adding much more on my plate - at least for the time being. I call myself a bicyclist for practical reasons as I do not have a car or even a driver's licence - and I wouldn't want to either. Complete waste of money what with insurance, vehicle registration and not to mention petrol! And better for the environment as well! I also have a general interest in music and have created my own collection of songs with my three portable keyboards.

[edit] Wikipedia History

Too many userboxes This user may have too many userboxes ... nah, no way!!

I joined Wikipedia formally in September 2006, but as an anonymous user I have made contributions to Football and professional wrestling - with particular attention to the grass roots and to local wrestling. I cleaned up the PCW page regarding the Carnage controversy in September 2002, and contributed to the deletion discussion affecting TWE. It is my intention to go to work on a PWA page, and also an NAW page.

The football section is going to get a lot of work, with league and club pages being developed over the summer of 2006/2007. I am at present downloading the pages that exist and I am working on a base structure so that when I create the pages (in Notepad so I don't have to waste time on the Internet) everything that is needed is there and there is consistency about it.

[edit] Jobs to be done

  • Other Wrestling Pages as required
  • Linking to information on my website

I have already started some clean up work - correcting the history of the Farrer FL and fixing up the pages for the Black Diamond AFL and the Newcastle AFL. This will only be the beginning.
