[edit] Where'd all the great info go?
-
- Culver's one of America's few great Military school's with many noteworthy alumni and one of the greatest summer camping programs in the country that attracts royalty and child stars to Indiana summer after summer. I agree the article was a little unwieldy before but this is a travesty. I strongly suggest we bring in a section on the summer camp progam and notable alumni.

[edit] Stuff to Do
-
- I think it is probably best to try to avoid too much uninteresting detail about the sports (a lot of schools have hockey teams, covering the key points can't require a full section of its own), but then I don't really know anything about the school. Maybe there is enough interesting stuff to say about each sport to justify each having its own subsection: if you can do it, knock yourself out.
- IMO the article is a little unbalanced now anyway, there is very little text about the school itself and a lot of sometimes tedious detail about the camps. I think it needs four substantial sections on:
- School history (foundation, change to allow girls (why, when, etc), must be a lot of other significant events in >100 years)
- School organization (how the kids are split up, who owns and runs it now, funding etc)
- Sports, clubs and awards (the horse and boat clubs, hockey teams, school band etc)
- The summer camps (history, summary of options and organization, etc)
- And a good lead-in, see WP:LEAD. Oh, and it needs sources :-). NicM 19:55, 2 February 2006 (UTC).
[edit] News Information
- I am not sure that this article is developed enough to have "new" type items and am not sure that the recently added item follows the wiki standards. I am not trying to say that this particular event is not an important part of Culver's history, just that there is a lot of other things that could and should be written here that I believe have a higher priority. If we do decide to keep the 'news' then it should go in a new section and not added to the summer camps overview section Andrew Powell 18:24, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
