Cuicatec

The Cuicatecs are an indigenous group of Oaxaca, Mexico closely related to the Mixtecs.
They inhabit two towns Teutila and Tepeuxila in western Oaxaca. 10,000 (1990 census). 260 monolinguals. According to the Ethnologue they number around 18,500 of which 10,000 live in teutila and the rest in Tepeuxila.
The Cuicatec language is an Oto-Manguean language of the Mixtecan branch.
