I am moving the following passage to this talk page. I am glad that you have a citation for this, but I moved this because 1.) You consider the industrialists views, but you don't specify which ones. 2.) There is no consideration how this relates specifically to the city of Cudahy.

Los Angeles' notoriously anti-union industrialists of the day approved, as well: with factory workers housed in single-family homes in spacious semi-agricultural suburbs such as Cudahy, unionization and radical politics had considerably less momentum than in the overpopulated tenements and shantytowns of the East and Midwest (various authors, Up Against the Sprawl, University of Minnesota Press, 2004).

I also could take from the passage that progressive politics is a microbe which grows with human overcrowding. To make the wikipedia the finest web encyclopedia ever, you may want to rewrite and/or reconsider what was written. Yours with wikidevotion -- Two Halves
